10 Reasons Our Rough Collies Are the Best in the Area
That sounds like a strong statement, “best in the area”. We believe they are, we know they are because we work hard as a family to bring you the best in the Rough Collie.
Once you have visited our farm and seen our Rough Collies, you will fall in love. Here is why we know they are the best in the area:
- Briarwood collies, puppies, Sires and Dams, are all genetically tested.
- We carefully select our breeding pairs, putting an emphasis on health, conformation and temperament.
- We start potty training early by providing a potty box for our small puppies. Dogs in general do not like to poop & pee where they live. It is a natural instinct. Collies especially have this instinct. By providing them with a potty box it is very easy to go from that to taking them outside on a regular basis to house break them! We try to get them house broke before they go home.
- Puppy training is started early by teaching them to sit, down, and to walk on a harness.
- As soon as the puppies’ eyes are open, training is started by holding, cuddling, and playing with them.
- We live on a farm so our puppies and adults have lot’s of room to run, exercise, and play.
- Our 10-Year Genetic Health Guarantee is second to none! If your puppy gets sick or dies from any genetically inherited disease, we will replace your puppy free of charge.
- At Briarwood, our Beautiful Noble Collies carry a tremendously thick coat; they also are sweet, intelligent, and calm. (Although they do have a silly side and they are sometimes goofy).
- Every day, our Collies are handled and loved on by small children and adults as well as exposed to cats, other dogs, goats, and cattle.
- Our Adult Collies spend time in the house and outside. They are all house broke, leash broke and we continue to work on training in obedience.
